Key responsibilities and accountabilities
· Review initial tender and PQQ enquiries and identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
· Involvement with PQQ and ITT processes and assist with submitting bids.
· Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
· Support all aspects of the commercial function for project and framework, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Conduct detailed analysis and reporting on project and framework performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
· Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers’ stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
· Perform risk, value management and cost control.
· Cost control, planning, forecasting and estimation.
· Assist operations management with contract administration.
· Provide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution
Knowledge, Experience and Education Requirements
· Impressive, demonstrable track record of skills/experience gained within a similar position within fast paced, highly demanding and challenging organisation.
· Results driven with the capability of working on their own initiative
· Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently
· Knowledge and implementation of NEC contracts desirable
· High attention to detail
· Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant disciple.
· Have demonstrable experience (ideally a minimum of 2 years) as a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Assistant in the construction or rail industry.
