Springburn-based training provider on track after striking GOLD

A Springburn-based company has been recognised for its excellence in the training and assessing of more than 25,000 candidates for roles on Scotland’s railway network.
Scot-Train, part of the SWGR group, has been awarded the highest GOLD award by the National Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR) for its effectiveness as a provider of rail training.
Scot-Train offers a comprehensive training and development service for a variety of skills and qualifications across a number of industries, including rail, engineering and construction. Since opening in 1997 it has trained more than 25,000 candidates at its purpose-built training facilities in Springburn.

Scot-Train provides both NSAR-approved rail training as well as occupational health services, including medicals and D&A registration, offering a “one-stop facility” for those entering a career in the rail industry along with continual career development. Railway training and management development courses can be specifically designed to meet clients’ requirements, with assessments and mentoring for all grades and skills also available.
The training company also offer occupational health services both internally across the group business and externally for a wide range of clients and sectors, all delivered from a purpose-built medical centre at the Glasgow base.
