Rail & Civils Health & Safety Manager

SWGR are looking to strengthen the HSQE team with an additional Health & Safety Manager located in South West of England.

Role & Responsibilities

• To advise Company Directors and Management on all aspects Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and SENTINEL including changes in legislation and regulations that may affect operations to enable continued compliance and assurance

• To carry out site visits on a regular basis to monitor and audit company Safety, Quality and Environmental systems

• To produce site visit records and forward for close out any non-conformance and corrective actions raised

• Maintain a close working relationship with clients, working closely in all HSQE matters; investigations, safety issues and campaigns

• To assist and advise on the Safety Training needs of the Company

• Ensure that all internal processes, management systems and documentation are maintained in compliance with all internal and external auditing requirements

• To participate in the Safety Review Panel to promote the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental culture through the provision of any advice and assistance and the promotion of best practice

• Comply with SWGR’s policies and procedures at all times and lead by example (Standout Role Model) Knowledge & Experience

• Specialised training/training in Health, Safety and Environmental law, safety and risk management, accident prevention, investigation and analysis, organisational planning and development

• Experienced and proficient in Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)

• Essential to hold a full UK driving license
