Possession Management Manager

SWGR are seeking a PM Manager to join our Lancs + Cumbria team. The ideal candidate has an understanding of all possession management competencies along with people management capabilities.


Duties:

  • Ensure adequate resources are available to meet contract requirements by forward planning.
  • Contribute to the development of the possession plan with the relevant Area Resource and Planning Coordinators
  • Monitor contracted hours and most effective use of workers hours
  •   Maintain close working relationships with clients
  • Act as responsible manager to the planner and authorise SSOW packs to required standards
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage the development of workers
  • Liaise with internal departments and external customers

Skills:

  • Understanding of all possession management competencies
  • Understanding people management
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations especially within the rail industry
  • In depth knowledge of possession requirements
  • In depth knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations
  • Ability to assess risk and problem solve
  • MS Word, Excel and Outlook essential
  • Must be comfortable communicating at all levels
  • Must be willing to undergo training to obtain site-related competencies to understand the delivery of possession management

Hours of Work:

  • 9am – 5pm Monday until Thursday then 9am until 3:45pm on Friday with 45 minutes for lunch each day
