SWGR are looking to strengthen our management team by introducing a Fleet Manager.
Based in Bristol, this role will liaise with both internal departments and external suppliers to ensure our fleet function is delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Duties:
• Lead and develop the fleet function and develop a robust service, driving efficiency gains and achieving value for money across the business.
• Build strong working relationships and partnerships both internally and with key suppliers.
• Ensure the adequate and cost effective supply of all goods, vehicles and services by continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.
• Regularly contacting suppliers to negotiate prices and develop sourcing strategies for alternative suppliers to ensure the company gets best quality, price and terms.
• Manage and ensure adequate monitoring systems and records are maintained for the company fuel spend and produce a weekly report for the Business Services Director.
• Weekly reconciliation of On Hire Deck against insurance database
• Process company drivers fines and contraventions and ensure valid and accurate records and reports are up to date.
• Process incidents of vehicle damage and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure current procedures and actions are followed in all aspects of damage recovery costs.
• Co-ordinate vehicle damage repair procedures and interact with approved body repair workshops.
• Carry out twice yearly checks of all company vehicle drivers licences and maintain up to date and accurate records.
Skills:
Proven experience in fleet management or a related field.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fleet operations and DVLA checks.
