Electrical, construction, welding and engineering jobs in Australia are just some of the opportunities we have for you to work 'Down Under'.

Our Background

SWGR’s current drive into Australia is an indicator of the company’s desire to enter growing and developing markets at the right time. This is nothing new. In fact, in 1997 the company made a notable shift from supplying mainly off-shore and marine construction personnel, to supplying railway personnel, at a crucial time when traditional markets were slowing down and fresh opportunities presented themselves in the aftermath of privatisation within the rail industry. The rest is history and the company now provides staffing solutions to a range of industries, which still includes off-shore, marine and rail. Measured diversification has been the key to our success. Our Board of Directors are sure that the development of the Australian arm of the business will prove to be just as successful in the medium-to-long term.

Where We Are Now

Over the past couple of years, the company has examined opportunities around the globe and focused on the areas that provide a strategic fit, synergy, long term growth and a good yield, along with the practical logistical backdrop on which to develop a robust business stream around. As well as expanding the company’s worldwide recruitment activities with a strong focus on identifying and targeting top quality personnel through its traditional sourcing routes and supplying them to a host of clients in Australia, the company has entered into a joint partnership with a successful local entity, which is now based out of Sydney.

"Our vision for the Australian Market is a simple one. Over the next three years, we aim to grow our activities in the field of specialist manpower and labour supply, along with our white and blue collar recruitment capability in key growth areas such as Rail, Petrochemical and Mineral Extraction to a point that they fully reflect our current UK operation. We are fully focused on duplicating the services that we have built our strong reputation upon, as well as playing a key role in identifying and supplying experienced individuals from around the world that will contribute to the economic stability, strength and capability of our Australian clients and the nation as a whole."
